Chairs from room 313.

 

 

The chairs from room 313, above the gallery at Brighton University were initially responded to, as tape drawings. This room was always used for lectures or meetings and so had no other furniture in it.

 

The stack of chairs took on the shape of the surface behind them and the lines warped and moved as you walked around the room. The drawn lines only appeared in correct allignment from one angle.
